Wildlife gardener awarded OBE

Bill Oddie, lead presenter of the recent BBC programme Wild in your Garden, has been awarded an OBE.

Okay, so it was less to do with wildlife gardening in particular and more to do with wildlife conservation in general; but regardless, it's good to see a wildlife gardening enthusiast get an award for services to conservation. After shooting to fame as a member of the comedy trio The Goodies, Bill Oddie has become increasingly well known as a TV 'wildlife presenter' with a particular interest in birds and, more recently, British wildlife in general.
